Executive Officers
Irma Anthony, MSW, PhD, LCSW
President, 2010-2012

Irma Anthony is the current NASWCO President and is currently employed at Metro State College of Denver as well as Logan School for Creative Thinking. Irma has worked in Denver Public Schools as the Manager of Social Work Services and sits on NASWCO Continuing Education Committee as the Chair. Irma's area of practice involves both School Social Work and Administrative skills and experience.

Jae McQueen, MSW, LCSW
President Elect, 2011-2012

Jae McQueen is currently the President Elect for NASWCO and is currently working as a child protection school social worker. Jae is President of onDU's Graduate School of Social Work Alumni Association and currently teaches policy related class at DU. Jae worked for Savio, Child Welfare and with juvenile justice for over 7 years and has a wealth of knowledge and experience.

Jae loves to be outdoors and enjoys athletic activities!

Carol Friedrich, BS, MSW, LCSW
Vice President, 2010-2012

Carol Friedrich is currently the Vice President of NASWCO and has her BS in Pscyhology and MSW from CSU. Carol earned her LCSW in the State of Colorado. Carol moved to Colorado in 1991 and has worked at Montrose County HHS for 14 years. She holds the Human Services Division Director position and has an enormous amount of experience in child/family welfare. Carol has previously been the chapter's At Large Representative from 2009-2010.

Carol enjoys singing, traveling and outdoor activities!

Amy Sams, MSW, LCSW
Treasurer, 2011-2012

 Amy J. Sams is currently the Treasurer of NASWCO and is in private practice specializing in individual, couples and family therapy serving adolescents, adults and seniors.  Additionally, she provides psychological assessments/evaluations and healthy relationship education.  Her professional background includes community mental health, child/family welfare, juvenile justice and psychological consulting.  She is actively involved in the community as a Clinical Supervisor of graduate student intern and as a Community Group Conference Facilitator in restorative justice.  She also volunteers with Adoptees in Search -The Colorado Triad Connection.

Terrie Cox Pauly, MSW, LCSW
Secretary, 2011-2013

Terrie Cox Pauly has been licensed in Colorado since 1989 and is currently working at Newman University under their MSW Program. Terrie is a Field Coordinator as well as an Instructor and currently serves on the Board of Women's Resource Agency in Colorado Springs. Prior to teaching, she spent 25 years as a clinical social worker which included working in child welfare and hospital  settings. Terrie has been the chapter's Chair of Programs Committee as well. Terrie's background is in mental health, occupational social work, social work education and EAP.

Terrie's areas of interest include eating disorders, mood disorders and trauma/EMDR.

Roberta Tesar, MSW, LCSW
Rural Region Representative, 2011-2012

Roberta Tesar is currently the chapter's Rural Region Representative and lives in Southern Colorado. Roberta currently works as a primary therapist and program developer at San Luis Valley Regional Medical Center. Roberta has worked in mental health settings, child welfare and has expertise related to health and social work. Roberta has volunteered for abused women and their children, Habitat for Humanity, American Cancer Society and has been an Oncology Advisory Board Member, in addition to several other organizations. Roberta has experience in grant writing as well as some experience in rural social work.

Jacque Penfold, MSW
Urban Region Representative, 2011-2012

Jacque Penfold currently works for the Larimer Center for Mental Health and has previous experience working with the Presidential Treatment Center as well as having been the Local Director of non-profit agencies. Jacque's area of expertise includes mental health and she is a member of Larimer County Mobility Council. Jacque has lived in Colorado for over 20 years and is married with two children. She works for community mental health centers and serves as part of a team within the agency, providing services to persons with developmental disabilities. Jacque also has her own private mental health practice as well as owns and operates an insurance billing service for mental health practitioners.
